About GPS Analyzer
GPS Analyzer is a precision GNSS toolkit for surveyors, hikers, drone pilots, geocachers, and anyone who needs to know exactly where they are and what satellites they're seeing. Read every detail the Android FusedLocationProvider and GnssStatus APIs expose — fully on-device, no accounts, no servers, no INTERNET permission requested.
LIVE FIX INTELLIGENCE
The home screen shows your latitude / longitude / altitude / accuracy / fix type / speed / bearing / source, all updated as fast as the OS will hand them over. See the timestamp of every fix, your motion vector, and a constellation breakdown (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou) — visible vs used-in-fix per constellation, with average C/N₀.
POLAR SKY PLOT
The Sky Plot tool renders every visible satellite on a polar chart — elevation as concentric rings, azimuth as the angle. Solid dots are satellites used in your fix; outlines are visible-but-unused. Colour-coded by constellation. Below the plot, a per-satellite C/N₀ bar chart shows signal strength for every SV in view, sorted strongest to weakest.
COORDINATE CONVERTER
Convert your current GPS fix to four formats with one tap each: decimal degrees, degrees / minutes / seconds, UTM (Universal Transverse Mercator), and Geohash. Copy any format to your clipboard for use elsewhere. All math runs on-device — no API calls.
LIVE SPEEDOMETER
Watch your speed in km/h or mph on a circular dial with a heading mini-compass and altitude + accuracy readout. Driven by the same FusedLocationProvider stream as the live fix.
PRIVACY-FIRST, FULLY ON-DEVICE
No accounts, no telemetry, no analytics SDK, no cloud sync, and no crash reporting in this release. The app does not request the INTERNET permission — your location is computed by your phone's GPS hardware and never transmitted anywhere.
