Why are we born as human beings?
We have seen creatures from the tiniest ones such as bugs to the humongous ones such as elephants, whales. But have you ever wondered why we got this human body? What are the special features or abilities that humans have been blessed with?
Yes, Humans are the only species blessed with dynamic intelligence.
But what do we humans and the rest of the species have in common?
Yes, the heart beat or the spark or proof of being alive or the soul that sustains life and guides us move through the life. If that’s the case, couldn’t we conclude that if all the species have one thing in common then we all must have a common parent or a common source which sustains our lives. Who is that parent?
If we have a common parent then there should be a common home as well.
We see birds roost in their nest at dusk, squirrels, rabbits in their burrow, bees in their hives, likewise, humans rush back to their home at the end of the day.
We might stop by different places when our mind gets carried away, but we will not be feeling comfortable or happy until we reach our homes. Our home is the only place where we feel long lasting peace and comfort. This is about our home in this material life, where we all have different homes and identities. Likewise, we all do have a spiritual home, home of our souls, where we all have one parent.
If we have a spiritual home, what is the reason for us being here, in material life?
That cause is called karma or the reactions of our deeds.
And if we have realized our spiritual identity as a soul then we will try to elevate ourselves in order to make spiritual progress which in turn makes our path to our spiritual home, to Godhead.
