Sandipan Ganguly is the 6th generation (inherited) artist from a widely known and esteemed family which features right from late Priyanath Ganguly (his Great grandfather) by whose name tollywood film industry started their journey under the banner PN FILMS prod, his younger brother late kalidhan Ganguly by whose name kali film studio is now renamed as TECHNICIANS STUDIO. Former's younger son late Santosh Ganguly was an eminent film editor of yester year.Sandipan's grandfather late Lakshmikanta Ganguly was the chief Recordist of All India Radio. He was named popularly as LKG. Amongst his works Mahishasur Mordini by (B.K.Bhadra) is broadcasted every year as a gem production of A.I.R.(Kolkata). Sandipan's father Mr.Gautam Ganguly, an illustrious musician of this industry since last four decades. His uncle too is a prominent personality of this industry, Mr.Buddhadeb Ganguly. Now throwing light on Sandipan's musical genre as a GENIUS.

He started learning this toughest instrument from the age of three. He got this keen interest from his father who used to play violin in his early age. Sandipan had many Gurus. Mr. Mihir Gupta amongst all actually made him addicted to music rather the instrument through his tutelage. Accordingly Sandipan passed all the grades in Western classical directly from London school of music with remarking results and was bestowed with astonishing remarks by the examiners in the year 2004. Parents also encouraged him for studies too and provided him an English medium schooling. He is a post grad (masters) in both music and academics.

Sandipan, at a very tender age was conferred with many awards,trophies and medals as being a prodigy. "He is nothing less than rose petals, a promising musician and a nice boy too who can be an excellent example for his next generation" as stated by an eminent violinist Mr. Antony Gould (ABRSM) while examining Ganguly for his grade exams. Sandipan as his sire generation has successfully adapted music and finally decided to be a professional. Now, Ganguly is a renowned face and name too for the entire industry.

By now he has already accompanied many internationally eminent artists like Ustad Rashid Khan, Ustad Gulam Ali Khan, Anup Jalota, Kailash kher,Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi lahiri,Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Shan, Sonu Nigam Amit kumar and many others and almost all artists of his home city.

Sandipan had performed in Dover Lane music conference in the year 2009 with Pt.Subhen Chatterjee ( tabla),shared stage with famed personalities like Sharmila Tagore, Soumitra Chatterjee, Shakil Ansari and many more. He has got working experience with distinguished film directors like Sandip Ray, Tarun Majumder, Victor Banerjee, Gautam Ghosh,Prabhat Roy,Haranath Chakravarty,Raja Sen and many more. Sandipan's Day 1 session happened to be with his guru Mr. Mihir Gupta under the musical directorship of Sri Gautam Ganguly in August'99.In the later half he worked with music directors like Pritam Chakravarty, Santanu Maitra, Jit Ganguly, Pt.Bikram Ghosh, Tanmay Bose, Rocket Mondal, Kalyan Sen Barat, Debjit Roy, Ashok Bhadra, Chandan Roychowdhury and many more. Sandipan has also worked as a music teacher at Techno India school for years. He is a graded artist of All India Radio(Kolkata) in both western classical and light eastern music. He is regularly into progs, solo recitals and recording sessions with class and upcoming artists. He has also played in Bollywood films like Jab We met and Parineeta.

Apart from being a violinist, Sandipan has also got a tutelage in Tagore songs from Suchitra Mitra, Argha Sen, Purba Dam and Rama Mondal. He is also a good composer and music arranger and can play several instruments like Keyboard, Guitar,Bass for which he never had any tutors.Many singers of these age has rendered their voice for his composition. He has also done music for a Bengali film Directed by Sri Sankar Roy where Javed Ali has sung and encouraged Ganguly for his better future.
