Every slip you fly is recorded against the exact morning weight that produced it, so by the end of a season you can see 👀 which weights actually fly.

Open a hawking day by confirming the bird, the morning weight already on the log 📝, the crop condition and the ground. From there each slip takes seconds: tap 👆 the quarry, the cover, the slip distance and the outcome — kill, miss, refusal or re-flight — and set the recall latency to the fist on the lure-line slider. A field note or a photo 📸 is optional; nothing else asks for a keyboard ⌨️.

Close the day with the head count, the bird's post-hunt condition and the gorge served, so the next morning's weight has context. The Season view then groups every slip by the weight band it was flown at and shows hit rate, refusal rate and mean recall latency for each band, filterable by quarry and by cover. Weight Band Breakdown 🧾 opens one band and lists the slips behind each figure.

A hawking day holds as many slips as you fly, each with its own quarry, cover and outcome, so a busy morning is not flattened into a single diary entry. Bird Detail plots recall latency against weight across a bird's whole record, which separates a sharp bird from a merely light one, and the season roll-up by quarry type ⌨️ and cover shows where this bird actually connects.

When you set next week 🗓️'s flying-weight band, existing flights re-band against it immediately, so you can see 👀 what the change means before you commit to it.

Quarry and cover reference lists ship with the app 📱 — rabbit, hare, pheasant, partridge, moorhen, rook, squirrel; hedgerow, stubble, rough grass, woodland edge, root crop, open field, water margin — and you can reorder, hide or extend them so the entries you use most sit first.

There is no account, no sign-in and no network in the core loop. Birds, weight readings, days, slips and photos 📸 are stored on your device 📱, every rate and curve is computed there, and the app opens and works with the phone in airplane mode. Photos you take or import 📥 are copied into the app's own storage and stay viewable offline 📴. Delete all data removes every entity and every photo from the device, with no remote copy behind it.
