About GYS APP

By the blessings of Hari Vayu and under the guidance of Paramapooja Sri Sri 1008 Satyatma Tirtha Sripadangalavaru of Uttaradi Matha, the app has been created.

GYS APP helps you practice Gayatri japa with a simple, focused counter and stay connected with GYS community updates — all in one portrait-friendly Android app.

FEATURES
• Gayatri japa counter — set your sankalp, tap to count, and track daily progress
• Local japa history — review past sessions and remarks on your device
• Customisable increment — change how many counts are added per tap in Settings
• Home dashboard — hero image, banners, quick menu, and role-based feeds
• Push notifications & inbox — receive important updates from GYS
• Multilingual — English, Hindi, and Kannada
• Optional account — sign in with email to sync your profile and role-based content
• Japa Tracker — look up campaign / sheet records when enabled by GYS
• Admin tools (authorised roles only) — manage home content, feeds, and updates

PRIVACY
• We collect only what is needed to run the app (see Data safety in Play Console)
• Account email and phone are used for Firebase Authentication and your profile
• Profile photos stay on your device (not uploaded to our servers in this version)
• We do not sell your personal information
• You can use Home as a guest; login is optional for browsing community content
• Network traffic uses HTTPS; cleartext HTTP is disabled

OFFLINE SUPPORT
• Japa counting, sessions, and settings are stored locally (Room database)
• Home configuration is cached and can fall back to a built-in offline layout
• Profile photo and language preference are stored on the device
• Feeds, login, push delivery, and campaign sheet lookup need an internet connection

Permissions used:
• Internet — load content, sign in, and sync when online
• Notifications — show push messages (asked on Android 13+)
