This app measures magnetic field with an embedded magnetic sensor. Are you going on hunt to find gold, precious metals on beach or mountains? This may be the right tool for you.

Metal Detector is an application which detects the presence of metal nearby by measuring the magnetic field value. This useful tool uses the magnetic sensor built-in your mobile device and shows magnetic field level in μT (microtesla). The magnetic field level (EMF) in nature is about 49 μT (micro tesla) or 490 mG (milli gauss); 1μT = 10mG. If any metal is near, the value of magnetic field will increase.

Usage is simple: Open the app, and move it around. The magnetic field level will constantly fluctuate. That's it!

You can find electrical wires in the walls (like a stud detector) and iron pipes in the ground. A lot of ghost hunters had downloaded this app, and they had experimented as a ghost detector.

Metal detector cannot detect gold, silver and coins made by copper. They are classified as non-ferrous that has no magnetic field. But maybe you will find metal box with some treasure inside!

Note: Attention! Not every model of smartphone has a magnetic field sensor. If your device does not have one, the application will not work. Sorry for this inconvenience.
