About PAF-KIET Point Tracking

A platform where a student can register their point online also track the location of his/her point
and management can manage online registration, point fees, student card, etc. This
application help students and Drivers to save their time. The driver doesn't need to
wait for the student because the student can track the location of the point .and reach
at his/her stop before the point, Students doesn't need to wait for point. We will make
an android application to connect drivers and students. The technology we use for this
app is the android studio, Visual Studio for admin’s web application, SQL Server as
a database. This project aims to provide ease to students and management of points.
Our approach was based on the Agile Scrum development methodology, which can be
thought of as a series of short, reflexive sprints, this seemed to be the most suitable method
of development because of its flexible and non-rigid characteristics as opposed to the
traditional waterfall approach.
The development team worked as a unit to reach the goals. The main rationale behind the
choosing of Scrum was because of the fact that this methodology accepts that the problem
cannot be fully understood or defined at the beginning and must continuously refined, this
seemed the best approach for us students who were keen to treat this entire development
process as a major learning experience, we wished to gain new knowledge along with
applying our already known concepts
The goal of this application is to provide a platform for the management and the student to
connect where a student can register their point online also track the location of his/her
point and management can manage online registration, point fees, student card,
notifications etc. Our System is mainly focus on the following:
1. Develop an application that connects Point office and students.
2. Build a database for storing the Student's information.
3. Build a database for storing Point admin’s information.
4. Provide a user-friendly graphical user interface to Student and Point management to
see their roles.
To achieve the first goal, we will use Android Studio. To achieve the second goal, we
will make a database that will store the required details of Students. To achieve our
third goal, we will make a database that will store the required details of Point
Drivers. To achieve the fourth goal, we will develop an android application using
android studio.
The user interface for the software shall be compatible to any Android / Smartphone by
which user can access to the system.
The user interface shall be implemented using tool or software package like Android Studio.
