About SOS Women & Child-Goa

SOS Women & Child-Goa is developed by Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN-Goa) and have some useful features like whistle and torch, call to emergency numbers (Police/ Ambulance).
It also provides information about authorities, laws, judgements related to child and women.

Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN-Goa) is a registered voluntary organization (NGO) having its head office at Panaji, Goa-India. The organization works with children in need of care and protection as well as children in conflict with law.

SCAN- Goa is the only organsiation which stands recognised by the DIstrict Legal Service Authority (North & South) to provide assistance to Juvenile Justice Boards.

SCAN-Goa works closely with government departments specifically with the state police in cases of child abuse. The team also collaborates with the Juvenile Justice Boards and the Child Welfare Committees in Goa, and undertakes social reintegration of children back to society. This is done by enrolling them in school, vocational courses, trainings and job placements.
