About PublishCred®: Bank of The Poet

This is the Publisher Credit Scheme (PCS), also known as The Bank of The Poet™, and powered by Breakout Poetry Inc. Our mission is to see to the financial emancipation of poets across the globe. The objective of PublishCred® is to see to it that poets are able to rise above water and push and promote their arts to the ends of the world. We are open to loan applications from poets, writers, artists and so on but before you apply, please read how this works:

The Soft Credit Packages of the Publish Cred is divided into six categories viz:

- Publish-cred: Soft loans/credit to poets who are have profound interest in publishing their works/manuscripts from soft to hard copies.
- Market-cred: Soft loans/credit to poets who have written books of poetry and are willing to engage in marketing efforts for the promotion of the book of poems to garner more sales.
- Submit-cred: Soft loans/credit to poets who want to submit to magazines with a “submission fee” capped at $50.
- Lance-cred: Soft loans/credit to poets who want to engage services of freelancers such as editors, designers, marketers, and other professionals tied towards book publishing.
- Skill-cred: Soft loans/credit for poets to attend skilling up seminars, symposiums, and other learning engagement(s).
-Travel-cred: Soft loans/credit to local poets / traveling poets intending to organize public performance of their poetry or participate in slams.

What Qualifies a Poet/Writer/Artist to Receive Credit from The Publish Cred.

1. Your application requires that you have a strong pitch on what you intend to do with the first installment and subsequent installments if approved.
2. Your pitch is rated 0-10 by the discretion of the Fund Manager. If your pitch scores from 0-5, you will be asked to add more supporting information, or required to support your application by “action” laid out by the Fund Manager.
3. If your application is awarded a score rating of 5-10. You will be required less of other supporting information or actions on your part.
4. You must have registered your name and works on The Global Poet’s Directory dashboard. This help us confirm that you are a poet.
5. You must be a student / have registered to become a student of The Poet’s University. Your chances of securing the Publisher Credit is increased if you have been workshoped for a minimum of 3 months (1 Semester) in The Poet’s University.
6. You have to donate a minimum of $1 into the Global Poetry Fund. More donations also ensure that your application is treated with more preference. Note, people with 10 donations and above have more fair chances of securing the credit.
7. Alternatively to the Global Poetry Fund, you can take a different route by purchasing at least 2 items from The Poetry Marketplace, going by our support4support ideology at the Breakout Poetry.
8. You are affiliated to other department of Breakout Poetry Inc., such as: The Collabs, or The Global Poet’s Directory. With all these actions or supporting information, check-boxed, it ultimately guarantees that you will receive your installment(s), except in cases of breach of terms or blacklisting.
