About Care at Home Companion

PointClickCare’s Care at Home Companion mobile app allows healthcare assistants (i.e. home health aides, personal care assistants, homemakers) to efficiently document the delivery of Home Care services. The application has an easy-to-use mobile interface, and seamlessly integrates with the PointClickCare cloud-based platform.

Using Care at Home Companion, providers can stay up-to-date by synchronizing tasks and appointment details to their mobile device. They are able to capture and distribute timely, accurate and complete documentation related to service delivery from within the patient’s home. The built in GPS helps agencies protect their clients and eliminate fraud by tracking employee visits.

The app does not require a continuous cellular connection. It is designed to enable staff to document appointments whether online or disconnected – allowing providers to serve rural areas or homes without a Wi-Fi connection. Synchronization can take place using Wi-Fi or cellular connection whenever available – on the road or in the office
