About Out and Equal 2022

The annual Out & Equal Workplace Summit is the largest LGBTQ+ conference in the world, with more than 5,000 attendees every year. It brings together executives, ERG leaders and members, and HR and DEI professionals and experts – all working for LGBTQ+ equality. Over more than 20 years, Summit has grown to become the preferred place to network and share strategies that create inclusive workplaces, where everyone belongs and where LGBTQ+ employees can be out and thrive.

This year’s Summit theme Unstoppable is a rallying cry, addressing the unique moment the LGBTQ+ community is facing. Communities across the globe are witnessing the threat of dramatic rollbacks to rights—rollbacks that disproportionately affect LGBTQ+ people, POC, women, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. Businesses are now the bulwarks against these rollbacks. Whereas progress towards LGBTQ+ equality may once have seemed a given, our community has been forced to reevaluate the belief that LGBTQ+ progress was guaranteed.

To be #unstoppable, we must be deliberate in taking concrete actions towards LGBTQ+ equality. We hope Summit will serve as a space for you and your organization to clarify what intentional actions you will take to safeguard LGBTQ+ equality in the workplace and in our world—to move us forwards, not backwards.
