About OET Practice Test Guide

There is only one task for the Writing segment of the Occupational English Test, which requires test-takers to compose a letter. Writing questions are tailored to suit the needs of those in a healthcare profession, as are other portions of the Occupational English Test (OET). There is a 45-minute time limit for candidates to compose a professional letter.
In contrast to other sections of the OET, only one task is part of the writing stage. In the Writing section, we are simulating a real-life scenario to determine whether a candidate can cope with the demands of a workplace.

A (best) through E (worst) are the grades for the OET's writing portion. Since there is more subjective content in this part of the exam, it is graded by two examiners to ensure consistency and accuracy. Grades are assigned in accordance with a detailed guide that examines the following criteria:

• Completed tasks not only on time but also in full
• Use of appropriate language
• Awareness of stimuli
• Grammatical and structural features (cohesion)
• Presentation features (proper use of spelling, punctuation, and layout)
