Gramalaya Microfin Foundation is a non-profit organization registered as a
Section 25 company founded in the year 2011 with the objective of
eradicating poverty through livelihood promotion activities through
increased access to financial services. Gramalaya Microfin
Foundation(GMF) was promoted by Gramalaya NGO mainly for the
purpose of economic empowerment of women in the operational areas.
Before the formation of GMF, the Founder Chairman of
Gramalaya.S.Damodaran, created GUARDIAN MFI for providing water and
sanitation loans to the women self-help groups in the rural and urban
