About NoAMP (open without AMP)

AMP is a web component framework that alters Web content for mobile devices. The problem is that AMP can sometimes make Web pages less usable. This app makes it possible to easily access the non-AMP version of a webpage in many (but not all) cases.

When viewing an AMP web page, use Share action and select this app to open that web page without AMP (using the default browser, not necessarily the same browser).

This works best on a page that Google has converted to AMP on the fly from a non-AMP host (e.g., mobile.nytimes.com, www.foxnews.com).
Hosted AMP pages (e.g., amp.usatoday.com) cannot be directly converted to equivalent non-AMP pages.

PLEASE: If you encounter a case where this app does not work properly, instead of giving it a low rating, send us details (URL, browser, Android version, device) by Feedback, and we will do our best to fix it.

Disclaimers: Use at your own risk.
This app is not affiliated with AMP or with Google.

It works! I mean, you need to "share" the link to open it in chrome, but I'm just overjoyed to bypass Google's awful AMP system....

You have to manually load the non-amp page, but it automatically goes to your default app instead. Best workaround I've found so far, without having to change search engines.

It does work, but the AMP pages now have a link to the url without the amp. So I don't think we need this app anymore. But it is a nice effort since you're the only one to make this app when this used to be ...
