Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr is aiming to establish a distinguished Islamic Centre.
Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr (Eastwood Mosque) is aiming to establish a distinguished Islamic Centre so it builds bridges for civilised communications and serves people in Rotherham. This is reflected in the nature of the unique services to be provided. The Centre provides a comprehensive set of facilities for the whole of Muslim community in the area. This includes: prayer hall for men, prayer hall for women, Islamic training courses and workshops, Qur’anic school, advice centre and a Daw’ah centre. In addition, the Centre has a mission to serve the Muslim community and other communities by creating the environment for communication and collaboration between different cultures and religions.
This will assist in correcting any misconceptions about Islam and help people solving their daily issues. Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr aims to promote greater understanding between communities, tolerance, respect and friendship through interfaith and intercultural work with different communities.
As British Muslims we promote British values and support the democratic decisions of country and community.
