About M-Gen: Automated Music Generator

Do you need a soundtrack for your video content? Or do you need to come up with a new melody, bassline or drum pattern and want a few ideas? Then this is the app for you. Please use earphones/speakers for best results.

M-Gen is a new and unique app that automatically composes musical content for:

- DJs
- Producers
- Songwriters
- Video content creators
- Games creators
- Musical learners and hobbyists of all abilities.

It uses constantly evolving algorithms and user feedback to compose melodies, basslines, drum patterns etc separately or integrated as songs which you can then download and send to your Google Drive in either MP3, MIDI or PDF format.

You can then use these files as follows:
- MP3 - for listening to or mixing
- MIDI - for using with DAW software
- PDF - for reading and playing sheet music

==========INSTRUCTIONS==========
1) Tap the red button. M-Gen will compose a new song
2) Open the feedback bar and tap like/dislike buttons as you listen
3) Open the Track Editor (tools icon) to select which tracks you disliked
4) Tap 'Apply To Disliked Parts Only'
5) Tap the small red button. M-Gen will rewrite the disliked parts

You can then repeat steps 2-5 until you are happy with the entire song, then save the song to your Library.

In the Library tab, tap the sync icon to see the downloaded song. Tap the song title (song will start playing) then tap the cloud icon to send the song to your Google Drive as an MP3, MIDI or PDF file.

Use the Setup tab to choose if you want just one or any combination of percussion, bassline, melody, harmony or effect tracks generated for each part of the song.

- select melody/harmony/bassline/percusion/effects tracks to be generated separately or together as a song
- use Like/Dislike buttons whilst listening to rewrite sections of a song
- use Track Editor to re-write tracks until you love the song
- select the number of instruments in each track (4 max, 8 for percussion)
- select key/tempo
- select structure of song using chorus/verse/middle-eight sections
- name and then store up to 5 generated songs on your phone for later listening

==========IN-APP PURCHASES==========
- 'Sharing Pack' (subscription) - send MP3, MIDI and PDF files of the generated music to your Google Drive. Includes license to modify the music and include it in your own work
- Library Expansion (one-off payment) - increase the number of slots in your device's M-Gen library so you can store more songs for later listening

M-Gen ("Music Generator") creates random yet tonally and rhythmically integrated songs based on a number of settings you can play with in the Setup section.

During playback, you can tap like/dislike buttons. Disliked sections can be rewritten by M-gen, keeping the rest of the song intact. Liked sections will provide M-Gen with clues as to how you like your songs to sound that will be used when composing future songs or song parts.

The algorithms used by M-Gen are always evolving and improving to include more possible musical structures and methods of composition.

The app has no advertising and there's no need to set up an account. Simple!
