About Talofa Pass

TALOFAPass is the official safe travels application endorsed by the American Samoa Government.

TALOFAPass was developed as a free mobile app and web-based travel tool for Travelers to apply and track their travel process to American Samoa. Users can declare coming trips to American Samoa, check the application status, receive safety guidance to satisfy the travel requirements and more.

The TALOFAPASS system allows an individual to apply for approval from the American Samoa Government to enter American Samoa. American Samoa remains under a closed-border policy; thus only bona fide current residents and other authorized personnel with approval from the American Samoa Government can travel to American Samoa during this Public Health Emergency. To trigger review and approval on TALOFAPASS, confirmation of flight reservation (confirmation code or record locator) is required. An application will not be reviewed unless a flight confirmation code is provided.

Registration on TALOFAPASS
ALL travelers must register and and upload their travel documents and Covid vaccination cards for review by the AS Dept. of Legal Affairs and ASDOH to receive approval on the TALOFAPASS system.

Vaccination Mandate
ALL individuals eligible for the COVID vaccine must be FULLY vaccinated. FULLY vaccinated means a person has received their last COVID vaccine shot PLUS 14 days. The person can travel on Day 15. American Samoa Department of Health will review vaccination card submissions.

Three COVID tests
ALL individuals must take 3 pre-travel COVID tests and receive negative results. Historical cases that can sometimes test positive, must honestly disclose on TALOFAPASS to ensure approval by American Samoa Department of Health, on the system.

Complete Final Health Questionnaire 24 hours before departure to receive a QR confirmation code
Individuals are required to answer honestly questions regarding medical conditions. Accurate disclosure of medical conditions or other special needs help ASDOH and the quarantine team to better prepare and support the traveler while in quarantine.

Quarantine in American Samoa
Upon arrival in American Samoa, all travelers must submit to a 10–14-day government monitored quarantine in American Samoa. Travelers can log their location daily on TALOFAPASS.
