The Gregorian calendar is used all over the world, and the Gulf countries use the Hijri calendar in addition to Islamic countries using it side by side. Along with the Gregorian calendar, and despite the difference in the length of the Hijri and Gregorian years, conversion between the Hijri and Gregorian dates is possible, by knowing the relationship between the lengths of the two years.
