About Fretboard Learn

Learn and memorize the notes of the fretboard through five distinct game types. This trainer app provides up to 22 frets to practice and master fretboard proficiency. Games match the name of guitar notes, bass notes, and banjo notes, ukulele notes, and mandolin notes to the positions on the instrument.


Customize your practice session by selecting the range of strings and frets to focus on (shown by the cyan box).

Identify: Use the push buttons to identify the note indicated on the fretboard
Locate: Press the location on the fretboard of the desired note on the specified string
Locate All: Find all notes of the same tone that appear on the fretboard
Pace: Flashcard mode where the answer is revealed after 3 seconds have elapsed
Explore: Select a position on the fretboard to reveal it's note

Great experience. All the games are necessary and useful. I would suggest that the fretboard is vertical but the words and interface be horizontal because it makes easier to think. Or there should atleast be...
