The summer of 2020 is going to be a different summer. The waters of the sea are still salty, the waters of the rivers are still crystal clear, but in the air there is a threat ... Thanks to the SANDSPACE application, you can continue to enjoy the sun, sand and water of our beaches and, at the same time , contribute to the safety of other users.

Through a georeferencing system that includes 580 ocean and river beaches in mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores, you will have access to a system of traffic lights that indicate the situation of each beach: green, few people; yellow, few vacant places; red, beach closed. The beaches without information are referenced with smaller green signs.

The information is provided by the users of the application and refers to the last two hours. Through a graph, SANDSPACE also indicates the number of people who gave the information and the time at which they did it.
