About Simone's Memory

Simone's Memory is inspired by classic games of repeating patterns of colors and sounds.

A number of options are available to customize the experience. You can have from 3 to 8 buttons. Buttons can be a torus (doughnut shape), shapes, numbers, colored dragons, or a mix of animal faces. Non-torus buttons can have a border and/or shaded background to highlight them. Sound options currently include a musical scale, animal sounds, and spoken words for shapes, colors, numbers, and animals.

There are 5 preset difficulty settings, plus a custom mode. You can customize a number of settings, including the number of buttons, the amount of time they are lit/unlit, how long you have to press a button, if the buttons are colorless, and how quickly the difficulty increases. There is also an option for easier difficulties that will allow pressing a button to repeat the current pattern.

In addition to clicking/touching a button, you can also use the keyboard to enter the corresponding number. This works best with the "Numbers" Button Type and/or Sounds.

High scores will be tracked for each preset difficulty and the custom mode. You can, optionally, submit your score to a leaderboard. The demo, and when playing a custom difficulty, do not allow submitting your score. You can disable the leaderboard from the High Score screen's Options tab. In order to show your highest score submitted to the leaderboard, a random numerical ID is generated. This is used when submitting your score, and checking if you have a submitted score. It is changed when you clear your high scores, though the score itself is not removed from the leaderboard. The leaderboard is shared by this app running on multiple platforms, so it also records that this score came from a device running Android.

The only information collected is your score, that it is from an Android device, and the random ID. It is only collected when you choose to submit it to the leaderboard. The ID will also be sent to the leaderboard server when you check the leaderboard scores, in order to see if you have a score on the leaderboard. There is no way to identify a device or user from the ID.
