About Lion Budokan Karate Intl

Lion Budokan Karate International started its first Branch in Auckland in May 2013 with a handful of students. We aim to promote Karate as an essential sport for people of all ages and fitness levels. Shihan Syed Mohiuddin, Founder and Chief Instructor in New Zealand, has about three decades of karate training experience. He sees Karate not just as another sport but as an essential art for people to learn this internationally recognised martial art in Auckland. The life skills a student learns while learning self-defence are amazing. Self-discipline, being a great team player, confidence building, improved focus and concentration are a few. We are a relatively young karate Dojo in Auckland but have been recognised and work very closely with other Karate styles and clubs in New Zealand to give our students our best. Our affiliations with Karate New Zealand ensure our students are included in tournament participation, advanced training and other opportunities as they come. Running five branches (as of this writing) in Auckland, we look forward to soon expanding Budokan Karate in other parts of the country. Budokan Karate is one of the first organised clubs in New Zealand, whose history goes back to 1972. Millions of Karatekas are taking benefit of this beautiful Martial arts system around the world.
