About Canoramiq
Canoramiq requires a physical ELM327-compatible OBD-II adapter (Wi-Fi only for IOS) to access live vehicle data. For review purposes, the app includes a fully functional Demo Mode that simulates a real drive session with pre-recorded OBD-II and GPS data — no adapter or vehicle is needed to evaluate all features.
To access Demo Mode:
Tap "Start" on the Connect screen
Select "Demo Drive" from the session type options
Subscription (Canoramiq Pro)
Live telemetry sessions and the extended motorsport dashboard require a Pro subscription. To test gated features without a purchase, you can use Demo Mode, which runs in Pro context.
Bluetooth & Location Permissions
Bluetooth is used solely to communicate with the OBD-II adapter. Location (including background) is used only during an active drive session to record the GPS route. Neither is used for tracking or advertising.
Wi-Fi OBD Adapters
Some ELM327 adapters connect over Wi-Fi (TCP port 35000). The NSAllowsArbitraryLoads ATS exception is required because these adapters serve a plain TCP/HTTP interface on the local network with no TLS support — it is strictly LAN-only and never contacts external servers.
