This Bible text is a translation from 1978, revised in 1985.
1978: New Bible translation. After twenty years of work, bibelen norsk, the Bible Society completed this new translation both in nynorsk and bokmål from the original languages. . The main translation principle was to convey the meaning of the Bible text in a language that communicates with today's readers (idiomatic translation, bibelen fakta, the same principle as Luther followed in his time).
1985: The 1978 Bible slightly adjusted. This Bible edition, called NO 1978/85, is widely uses in schools, churches and in people's homes.
