You notice someone. You freeze. You leave. Everyone does it.
AskIRL is the app for the ten seconds you always lose. Pick a vibe, hold your phone out, and let them read it. No accounts, no swiping, no strangers in your DMs — just one real moment, handled well.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick a vibe — Cute, Funny, Shy, Bold, Friendly, or Networking.
2. Pick an approach. Every one is three short lines, written to be read at arm's length in about ten seconds.
3. Turn your phone around. A countdown gives you a beat to hand it over.
4. They read it, and they answer. Two big buttons: yes or no.
5. If it's a yes, they choose how to connect — Instagram, Snapchat, a number, a message typed right here, or just say hi. They type it themselves, in front of you.
6. If it's a no, it ends kindly and immediately. No second attempt, no retry flow, no way to see who declined.
BUILT SO THE OTHER PERSON IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL
- They type their own details. Nothing is pulled from your contacts, photos, or accounts.
- Every option says exactly what's about to be shared before they type a thing.
- Just say hi is always on the menu — they can say yes to a person without giving up any data.
- The no button is exactly as big and easy to press as the yes button. That's deliberate.

PRIVACY IS THE DESIGN, NOT A POLICY PAGE
No sign-up. No email. No phone number. No location permission, ever. Your saved connections live in your phone's own storage and are never uploaded. Usage stats are anonymous counts you can switch off in Settings, and they physically cannot contain anything anyone typed.
