About Us:
Our unique at-home program built on the proprietary By the Sea Bonds Framework, is crafted for busy parents and caregivers of children aged 5 months to 5 years.
This program emphasizes the critical role of bonding, modelling behaviour and subsequently proactively inculcating social, emotional and character development
Why?
Science tells us that a child’s experiences from conception through their first 5 years will go on to shape their next 50.
When we're born, we have billions of neurons in our brains, but most of them aren’t connected yet. This means that while we have the building blocks for brain development, the pathways for communication between these neurons are still forming. As we experience the world and interact with others, these connections grow and strengthen, shaping our learning and development.
1 million neural connections per second. That is the speed with which a child’s brain is developing between birth and age three.
Connections between synapses—or signals transmitted in the brain—are reinforced by repeated positive experiences. These connections play a crucial role in helping babies acquire the fundamental skills they need to thrive in the world ahead.
During this important time, it’s key to build strong connections with caregivers and create a safe, supportive environment.
Your child is ready to absorb new information, love, and learning through interactions and observations.
What is Social, Emotional and Character Development?
Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process that helps individuals learn to understand and manage their emotions, develop empathy, build positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
It involves acquiring skills like self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. SEL is essential for personal growth and helps improve academic performance, reduce behavioural issues, and foster a positive environment.
Character development is the process of nurturing positive traits and values such as honesty, kindness, responsibility, respect, and empathy.
It involves guiding children in understanding and encouraging ethical behaviour and fostering a strong sense of identity and moral purpose. Character development helps children build resilience, make responsible decisions, and form healthy relationships, ultimately shaping them into well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to their communities.
