About Waffer Card

Out of our keenness to provide the best and the most distinguished and apply comprehensive quality to raise the level of services provided to employees, and through our keenness to support the local economy in the Emirate of Sharjah and in the United Arab Emirates in a way that benefits the advancement of the national economy and its continuous development, and for all departments and bodies of the Government of Sharjah. The “Save Card” was launched as a government initiative by the Human Resources Department of the Government of Sharjah in March 2013. It is the first discounts initiative at the state level that includes Sharjah Government employees, retirees and other categories of beneficiaries.

This project comes within the framework of an integrated series of community activities adopted by the department through its strategy in keeping with the vision of the Sharjah Government, most notably enhancing the affiliation of Sharjah Government employees to both institutions and employers responsible for them. This is done by providing benefits and incentives that help them confront living challenges. In addition to supporting the foundations of partnership with private sector institutions by enabling them to provide many discounts and privileges to Wafer card holders.

In an effort to deliver top-notch services and with a strong commitment to bolstering the growth and ongoing development of the local economy of Sharjah and the UAE and throughout the branches and entities within Sharjah government, the Directorate of Human Resources of the Government of Sharjah introduced the Waffer Card initiative in March 2013. This government-driven discount program is the first of its kind in the region and covers a broad spectrum of beneficiaries including Sharjah government employees, retirees, and other eligible categories of beneficiaries.

This initiative is part of a wider community-driven program undertaken by the Directorate to realize the vision of the Government of Sharjah. The primary objective of the Program is to boost the affiliation of Sharjah government employees with their respective employers and institutions, by providing them with a range of incentives and benefits that help them tackle the challenges of everyday life. Additionally, it aims to reinforce partnerships with the private sector establishments by allowing them to offer exclusive discounts and privileges to Waffer Card holders.
