Ki Dalang Cecep Supriadi presented the Sundanese Golek Puppet in the play Nurkala Kalidasa. Nurkala Kahyangan is a puppet story about Prabu Kresna's request to calm the world, by asking for help from King Yudisthira to appear before Betara Guru in Heaven so that the world can be peaceful. Ki Cecep Supriadi is known as the puppeteer of the Sundanese Purwa Wayang Golek which was very popular in West Java and DKI Jakarta in the 1970s to 1980s. A puppeteer who is very selective in accepting students.
Wayang Golek is a traditional Sundanese art of wayang performance made of wooden puppets, which is especially popular in the Tanah Pasundan area.The area of its distribution stretches widely from Cirebon in the east to Banten in the west, even in the Central Java area bordering West Java. There are also often Wayang Golek performances.
