About Mauthausen Audioguide

Around 190.000 persons of more than 40 different nationalities were imprisoned in concentration camps Gusen, Mauthausen or one of its subcamps, between 1938 and 1945. At least 90.000 persons lost their lives. Today, the Mauthausen Memorial is an international place of remembrance and a site for teaching history as well as conveying political education.

This app allows downloading the Mauthausen Memorial’s audio guide. Also, it gives an overview of the history of the Concentration camp Mauthausen as well as orientation at the premises of the memorial site due to a Memorial site map with GPS navigation.

Please note that there is no WLAN accessible at the memorial site. Therefore we recommend downloading the app before the visit.

Content:
• Audio guide with 24 stations (tour duration around 120 min)
• Information on the historically relevant places
• Memorial site map with GPS navigation
• Information on monuments and places of remembrance

Excellent guide and a sad, sad place. May all the prisoners rip. I visited today from Australia.
