HOW do-gether WORKS!
Download the app and help or get help.
ACCEPTING TASKS!
You can immediately see if someone nearby needs your help. If so, accept the task. We will guide you through your task so you can help easily, safely and fast. Paying for tasks creates an environment where people meet at eye level. However, money is never the only motivation. If you want, you can donate the money to a charity from within the app.
CREATING TASKS!
It works similar when you are looking for help. In that case we also guide you through the other side of the process so you can get help easily, safely and fast. The person nearby wanting to help you will contact you via the app.
SAFETY IS AT THE CORE OF do-gether!
The app requires you to verify your identity when you want to accept a task or post your own task. Only verified users can request or perform services.
Whenever a helper and a person looking for help agree on a task the app guides them both through the process. After accepting, the app provides the helper with the exact location of the task, again securing a maximum level of safety.
PUSH-NOTIFICATIONS!
The “I am on my way”-button informs you that the help is coming soon. The “I am here”-button lets you know that your helper arrived at the right place. To add another layer of safety, the helper has to tell the other person a codeword which only those two know. Now, it’s all about helping. As soon as everything is done you both swipe to complete the task and then the money flows. Both of you can now rate each other. That gives future buddies an idea of the help provided by a specific person.
WHY DOES HELP HAVE A PRICE?
Because we believe people should always meet at eye level and paying for tasks makes that possible. As money is not the main driver there are fixed prices for “small help”, “large help”, and “long help”. Small help stands for “little effort but big impact”; like delivering groceries to an injured person or carrying a box to the post office. The small help costs about € 6.
By large help we mean tasks that are either exhausting or intensive. Examples are accompanying a new resident to a city office or helping carry a large piece of furniture through a staircase in case the elevator is too small. The big help costs about € 12.
When the helping lasts long, we call it the long help. This could be playing a game of chess with a resident of a retirement home or clearing out a basement. The Long help costs about € 15 per hour.
When you received help and were happy with the service you can tip the helper. Tips are limited to € 10.
When help is needed urgently or very difficult you can activate the “double”-button, always keeping in mind that fairness is key.
All transactions are cashless, thus guaranteeing maximum safety.
