BUFFMAP is a privacy-respecting field register for street art in San Diego. See what is still up, what has been buffed, and what has changed — while keeping the people behind the record in control.

FIELD REGISTER
• Browse a living map of street art, with clear status history for each record.
• File a new record from the camera or your photo library.
• Keep pieces you care about in your private offline book.
• Report a status change, flag a harmful record, or request re-attribution, coarsening, or removal for your own work.

PRIVACY CONTROLS
• Create a pseudonymous account. No email address, phone number, or legal name is required.
• Every uploaded photo is rebuilt on your device first to remove capture metadata.
• Choose Unmapped, Neighborhood, Block, or Exact location per record. Protective coarse choices are presented by default; high precision is intended for authorised legal walls.
• Camera captures are held by default so a live post does not reveal that you were standing at a wall at a particular time.
• No advertising and no Android Advertising ID. The map uses Google Maps SDK, which processes technical, diagnostic, and map-interaction data as described in the privacy policy.
• Permanently delete your account and linked records in the app, or start a deletion request at buffmap.app/account-deletion.html.
