"uThando" means love in isiZulu, a native South African language. The name not only reflects what the app is about, but also where it is developed.

Thando is a new approach to developing and maintaining your romantic relationships. Thando will help you with finding red and green flags early on, provide talking points letting you know what you both are doing well and not so well in the relationship. Thando provides a fun yet uncomplicated way to start the hard conversations in the relationship in a non confrontational way that doesn't point fingers but allows you both to share input. Thando can be used by couples in the early stages or couples that have been together for years. Using advanced AI from ChatGpt and machine learning, Thando provides analysis and generates very great advice to keep your relationship healthy by identifying issues and providing you with comprehensive and practical advice to fix things. Thando will even give you hints about your partners mood and their love languages at the time. A great insight of how your partner is feeling and how they want to be shown love and support. Thando will even attempt to predict what direction the relationship is heading and give you advice accordingly. Other features are a to-do list for couples, where you can ask your partner to do something and then you can rate thier effort afterwards, we hope this will improve communication and create accountability. There is also an explore section where you can scroll through activities to do as a couple, curated by what we know about you and your relationship. So if you are lacking in teamwork, we will suggest activities that encourage that. We have much more feature we want to roll out as interest and usage of the app grows.

So download it with your partner, have a nice dinner at home and take the test every week or daily and see your progress. Take out the guess work and hoping issues will mysteriously resolve themselves. A gentle yet proactive approach to couple and self development.

Once you register, you will have a 30 day trial and thereafter you would have to subscribe to a monthly, 6 month or 12 month service. The cost of this is very low especially compared to common dating apps. This is an indy app with no glamorous funding behind it and AI is pretty costly so all the support is highly appreciated. With enough support I hope to share the roadmap with the community, we can really build in some amazing one of a kind features.

Please note that both partners need to download the app on their phones. A version for singles will be coming soon. Thando is not a replacement for therapy and should your issues require it, Thando does its best to advise you to do so.
