About Addition Subtraction Game
Addition and subtraction practice that plays like a game, not a worksheet.
Four answers, one tap, and the next question is already there. No typing, no keyboard, no waiting. A round takes sixty seconds, which is about as long as anyone wants to spend on mental arithmetic in one go.
GREEN IS ADDING, CORAL IS TAKING AWAY
Every question is colour coded before you read it, so you know which operation you are looking at without thinking about it. Small thing, but it is the difference between a child answering the question and a child working out what the question is.
FIVE WAYS TO PLAY
Sprint. Sixty seconds, answer as many as you can.
Survival. Three lives, and it gets harder as you go.
Practice. Twenty questions, no clock, no pressure.
Daily. Fifteen questions, the same ones for everybody today.
Duel. Two players on one phone, screen split down the middle.
THE LEVEL MOVES WITH YOU
Eight levels, from sums to ten all the way up to three digit numbers, carrying and borrowing. The game watches how you are doing and moves you up when you are ready, but it needs two good rounds in a row before it does, so one lucky streak does not throw you into something you are not ready for. You can also just set the level yourself and leave it there.
THE WRONG ANSWERS ARE REAL MISTAKES
The three answers you do not pick are not random numbers. They are the answers you get when you make the mistakes people actually make. Fifty two minus twenty eight offers you thirty six, because that is what happens when you take the smaller digit from the larger one in each column. Getting it wrong shows you the trap. Getting it right means you avoided one.
KNOW WHERE YOU ACTUALLY STAND
The stats screen splits your accuracy by operation, so you find out whether you are genuinely slower at subtracting or whether it just feels that way. Best scores, streaks, and every round you have played are all kept.
TWO PLAYERS, ONE PHONE
Duel splits the screen in half and puts the same question in front of both players, one upside down. First to seven wins. It works on a table between two people with no second device and nothing to connect.
WHO IT IS FOR
Children drilling their number bonds. Anyone who has noticed they reach for a calculator to work out a tip. People who want something to do with sixty seconds that is not a feed.
NO ACCOUNT NEEDED
Nothing to sign up for. Your scores and your streak stay on the phone, and a single button in Settings clears everything if you want to start over.
