The STOP-FON mobile application is a supplement to the system that serves to increase pedestrian safety. A very common view are pedestrians who reach pedestrian crossings and move across the street without looking up from the phone, and thus pose a threat to themselves. STOP-FON is a modern solution supporting safety at pedestrian crossings, mainly children and adolescents, which automatically displays a message informing about approaching the crossing, which causes the pedestrian's reaction in the form of raising his head, looking both ways and ensuring that he can safely cross over. STOP-FON is an autonomous system consisting of an application that, when installed and in conjunction with sensors mounted on vertical information signs D-6 (pedestrian crossing) automatically displays a message informing about approaching a pedestrian crossing, which causes a pedestrian's reaction in the form of a raised head , look both ways and make sure that it can safely go to the other side. The message stops displaying after passing through a pedestrian crossing and leaving the device's range. STOP-FON can also be used by drivers who, when approaching a pedestrian crossing with the device installed, will be warned in advance, so they will watch the foreground more closely, reducing the vehicle's speed and thus increasing safety. STOP-FON is primarily addressed to cities, municipalities, road managers, private owners of internal roads, mobile phone users as well as to all road users who we are.
